There can’t be too many views in the United States as spectacular or as well-loved as this one, the view of Yosemite Valley from Tunnel View. Yosemite Valley is a truly awe-inspiring sight and Tunnel View offers one of the best views of the valley in the park. In the far distance, Half Dome is just visible in the center of the image. The massive face of El Capitan stands on the left of the valley and, opposite, you can see Bridalveil Falls which was running full force when I shot this picture in April. Sequoia Abstract

“Sequoia Abstract” shows a single Giant Sequoia tree within a grove of California Redwoods in Sequoias National Park in California. Although the redwood is the worlds tallest tree, the sequoia is the most massive and can have a trunk with a circumference over 100 feet. If you haven’t seen a sequoia, I would strongly recommend a visit to this park or the various other state and national parks in California where the trees can be found. Death Valley National Park in California is a breathtaking place and the view from one of the higher hills in Twenty Mule Team Canyon just as the sun is beginning to go down is one of the most breathtaking in the part for me.
