Texas State History Museum, Austin

The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum can be found about four blocks north of the State Capitol and has become another must-see location in any visit to Austin. The twenty foot high bronze star in front of the building is almost as much of a landmark these days as the capitol dome. I’ve taken many pictures of this building and the star since it opened and, if you are flying through Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, you may see another of these taken on the same day as this one hanging above the western security line. That assumes, of course, that no-one has bought the space for advertising since paid billboards unfortunately trump art images.

Prints of this image are available with widths between 36″ and 60″.
